Remember the weird device called Samsung Gear VR? This accessory uses the same technologies as in the Oculus Rift, only Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is supposed to be used as a display. Insert your smartphone into glasses, the viewing angle is 96 degrees, and then you can watch movies, play, watch photos – not even photos, but real panoramas.
All this is very cool on paper, but for some reason Western publications give the accessory three or even two in reviews. And here's what else is interesting. In the American chain of stores Best Buy, sales of Samsung Gear VR started, but only consumers are first offered to go through something like a small familiarization tour and only then make a purchase decision. Apparently, Best Buy remembers well the story of the first Samsung watches and mass returns back to stores (then the return was about thirty percent). There is also a new device here, and an expensive one, about two hundred dollars, for the USA it is a very expensive accessory. Based on this price, we can assume that in Russia they will ask for about 12,000 rubles for Samsung Gear VR and this is the minimum.
