Sony unveiled a schedule for updating Xperia smartphones to Android 9.0 Pie

Sony Mobile has unveiled a schedule for updating the operating system of its Xperia smartphones to version Android 9.0 Pie.

Already this November, the flagship models of 2017 and 2018 will receive an update. Owners of the Xperia XZ2, XZ2 Premium, XZ2 Compact, XZ1, XZ Premium and XZ1 Compact will be among the first to receive the new version of the operating system Android. The update will also be available for the Xperia XA2, XA2 Plus and XA2 Ultra in early 2019.

The company notes that the new version of the proprietary user interface Xperia UI combines 'clean' Android 9.0 and Sony development aimed at improving the user experience of interaction with smartphones Xperia. The operating system update will keep Stamina, Battery Care and Qnovo smart energy saving technologies, 3D scanning of objects and people.
