According to the newspaper Kommersant, referring to the words of the head of Samsung Mobile in Russia Dmitry Gostev, sales of the Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone with a folding screen will begin in Russia in the second half of May.
Recall that the device will be released in the US on April 26, in a number of European countries – on May 3. In Russia, the smartphone will be presented only on the Samsung website and in several dozen stores of the company's retail network. The price of the device has not yet been finally determined, it can be 150-200 thousand rubles, Gostev specified. The company expects demand to exceed supply, he said.
Samsung branded stores have already begun calling customers who have previously pre-ordered the latest flagships of the Galaxy S10 line, offering them to pre-order the Galaxy Fold as well. The proposals included the cost of the device in the amount of 150 thousand rubles. At the same time, the resellers offering to receive the device one of the first in Russia, the prices are now 300-500 thousand rubles.
