Top 9 microSD smartphones you can buy now

Based on materials from phonearena.com

If you have iPhone, then you have no problem with the lack of a microSD card, since it is not expected, and you agreed with this decision by making your choice. It's a different matter – smartphones on Android and other platforms. When it comes to top-end devices, buyers expect to see a microSD slot in them. However, recently we have seen quite a few flagships whose memory cannot be expanded. The latest popular example is the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, and it looks like Samsung's decision is related to the redesigned S6 series.

But we're not talking about the Galaxy S6 right now. Instead, we suggest taking a look at a few high-end smartphones that have a microSD slot. The list includes only new (or relatively new devices), not older than a year. So, in chronological order.

BlackBerry Passport

An unusual smartphone, and unusual even for a company BlackBerry. One of the widest top-end smartphones we've ever seen, with a square 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 and 453 ppi, it is equipped with a three-row QWERTY keyboard. The built-in memory of 32 GB can be expanded with microSD cards up to 128 GB. The device was released in September 2014.

Sony Xperia Z3

While the Xperia Z4 has yet to be released outside of Japan, the Xperia Z3 remains the best Sony top-end smartphone in the world. And it's not just a matter of microSD support – its thin waterproof body makes it very attractive in appearance.

2

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Just like the previous Galaxy Note series devices, the Note 4 supports microSD, much to the delight of those who lack the built-in 32GB. Available since October 2014, the Galaxy Note 4 remains one of Samsung's most expensive smartphones.

3

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Announced alongside the previous device, the Note Edge came out a month later, in November. Most of the features are identical to the Note 4 (including microSD support), but the main difference lies in the curved display.

4

Huawei Honor 6 Plus

It was released in December last year and is the first smartphone in the world equipped with a main camera with two 8 MP sensors. The device has a completely metal body,

5.5-inch 1080p screen and Kirin 925 octa-core processor.

5

LG G Flex 2

The G Flex 2 is the second curved smartphone from LG (after the original 2013 G Flex), and it is also the company's first smartphone with a Snapdragon 810 processor. Like most smartphones LG , there is support for microSD cards.

6

Asus ZenFone 2

Asus is one of the few smartphone manufacturers to release their top-end devices based on Intel Atom processors. Announced in January, the company's latest flagship, ZenFone 2, comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded with microSD cards.

7

HTC One M9

Launched in 2013 HTC One did not have the option to expand the internal memory, but in HTC One M8, the company decided to add a microSD slot, just like in One M9 this year. In fact, the One M9 is not very different from the M8, although it does have improvements like the Snapdragon 810 processor and 20MP main camera.

8

LG G4

And here is the newest flagship with microSD support. Interestingly, the G4 is powered by a 6-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 808, not an eight-core Snapdragon 810. Other features include a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and a 16MP main camera.
