UCWeb Inc. (a part of Alibaba Mobile Business Group) has announced a new version of its UC Browser 10.8 for the platform Android with an improved ad blocker and cloud platform to save mobile traffic.
According to the developers, UC Browser 10.8 makes it possible to use the mobile Internet even faster, easier and more efficient than before. Saved traffic display function is based on cloud technology. After a slow connection is detected, the site data is cached in the near north. Then the images from the site are optimized, and only after that the data is sent to the user's device. This helps to reduce the loading time of the site.
Proprietary ad blocking technology from UCWeb Inc. removes annoying banners from sites, which not only makes web surfing more comfortable, but also reduces traffic and costs. Now, in the AdBlock function, the user can instantly point to advertisements that he no longer wants to see. This will improve the quality of ad detection technology – in Russia alone, more than 2.2 million people take part in the fight against unwanted ads.
In addition, UC Browser 10.8 received support for 64-bit ARM architecture and became compatible with the operating system Android 6.0.
