Finally got around (or rather, eyes) to watch a video about a flexible Wove band bracelet – in short, a flexible screen based on E-lnk is used here, in general, imagine a flexible strip of paper taken from an e-book. Better yet, just watch this video.
The thing is, there is a truly large display here when it comes to wearable electronics. The screen is divided into several sections where different information can be displayed. In one section of the notification, in the other there is a card, in the third something else. The renders show that they have not forgotten about the usual clock.
And on the official site you can get acquainted with the work of Wove in more detail – the screen supports work with gestures, you can upload your patterns as a design, there is, of course, the ability to control the player. The technical characteristics are interesting, the bracelet runs on Android 5.1, the display resolution is 1040 x 200 pixels, the processor is 1 Hz, the battery is 230 mAh – apparently, it will work for about a month in autonomous mode. Display size 30 x 156 mm. There is vibration, accelerometer, 4 GB of internal memory and 512 MB of RAM. Actually, this is no longer a concept, but a completely working sample. I sent an application to the developers, it may turn out to get a sample. What do you think of this accessory? Interesting or not?
