This time the selection turned out to be mostly playful. Your attention is presented: the continuation of the popular arcade, a catalog of copyright wallpapers, an unpretentious but exciting puzzle, a convenient news aggregator on selected topics and a space quest.

Badland 2

Even before the release of the second part of the really cool 'side scroller' Badlands on Android I played it on iPad, expectations were met, it turned out at the level of the previous part: beautiful, atmospheric, with varying dynamics of the process games, various power-ups and game locations. It is a pleasure to play, the visual and audio range is excellent.

One of the subjective drawbacks for myself was the very annoying and frequent advertising in the free version of the game. Moreover, in most cases this is not just a banner with a cross in the corner, but a video that cannot be turned off. The 'kind' developers have provided for a premium subscription to disable the game and fully immerse themselves in the gameplay, which will cost the user ~ 300 rubles. Otherwise, no complaints, the game is 10 out of 10. Advise fans of such arcades.

Not a bad catalog of high-resolution wallpapers, there are images that are completely different in style and execution, you can upload your photo s, and also group your favorite wallpapers into a separate catalog. Directly from the application, you can set the picture you like on the desktop / lock screen background. The application design is as familiar as possible, Material Design with all that it implies.

You can save images to your device only if you purchase the premium version of Backdrops for 129 rubles. The latter also removes ads in the app and provides access to a constantly updated exclusive collection of copyrighted wallpapers. The catalog is updated daily, regardless of the availability of a subscription, once a day, the most popular image is selected that can be set on the background. Visually pleasing, high-quality wallpaper, advise those who often change background images.

An endless puzzle game, the only purpose of which is to help the player relax and distract himself while creating symmetrical and simply beautiful patterns from the loop s on the screen. There is no definite logic in them, the developers advise to resort to immersion in Zen, thereby relieving tension and accumulated stress.

The game also provides a 'dark' mode, in which the player needs to do exactly the opposite – to separate the presented patterns and shapes into separate parts. There is no pressure on the player in terms of the need to develop and advance in the gameplay in the game, there is only minimalism and a kind of visual meditation. Simple but entertaining. Advertising rarely pops up; it can be turned off for 50 rubles. Advise fans of simple 'momentary' games.

NewsTab

Before us Android is a client of the news aggregator newstab.com, which collects information from online sources in 130 countries. By design, the client combines the flexibility of RSS aggregators with a pleasing visual component. The sections are divided by topic, and you can add your own sources to each of them, be it a website or an RSS feed. What is gratifying is that NewsTab also has Russian.

In addition to news feeds of sites in the application, you can connect an account Twitter, thereby getting an almost full-fledged client of the mobile version of the service in a beautiful 'wrapper'. The advantages of NewsTab include the ability to get acquainted with the news without an Internet connection, synchronization between devices, support for Pocket, Instapaper, OneNote and Evernote. The interface is a little tricky, but in general you can use it if you want to customize the client a little to your preferences. I am glad that there is an opportunity to independently choose sources, not all such applications 'can'. Advise those who always want to keep abreast of the latest developments.

Far from being a new space strategy that has recently received Russian localization. In the story, you are the captain of a spaceship and you woke up from a cryogenic sleep somewhere in the middle of the galaxy. Randomly, you become aware of the coordinates of the planet where those who are responsible for the destruction of the solar system live, and now this search becomes the meaning of your journey. On the way, you will have to calculate and replenish your resources all the time, drill the surface of the planets in search of the necessary elements and repair the ship with mined iron, come into contact with representatives of alien races and explore space anomalies, learn unearthly languages ​​and technologies, translate the latter into devices for your ship .

The game provides four different endings, as well as ten types of ships, which are also encountered by the player on his journey. According to the developers, galaxies are randomly generated, and the number of game text adventures reaches 350. In fact, the game is a text quest drawn in the style of comics with an element of strategic thinking that is required to control resources. If one of the resources is exhausted, then the game ends and you have to start all over again.

On the other hand, the gameplay resembled one of the popular PC games, with the exception that Out There does not offer any battles, but without them there is a chance to play for a couple of hours. A subjective disadvantage for some users may be the cost of the game and the 'weight' of the application. I really liked Out There, I passed it with pleasure, but I did not lose interest and you can go through again with different game settings and difficulty level.
