My work means being busy almost 24/7, so there is little time left for games and other entertainment. The only gaps are the breaks between writing text and shooting video. I am exaggerating a little, but I think the essence is clear.
I can give myself 5-15 minutes to distract myself from work in the form of a Rubilov in a game called Guns of boom – a mobile PVP game developed by Game Insight. I just want to say that this is not a GOB ad. Moreover, taking this opportunity, I express my 'fi' to the PR service, which has not responded to any of my letters.
Why exactly Guns of boom is the best cooperative game for me, we will find out in this material.
Yes, I am one of those people who primarily pay attention to 'graphonium' in the game. The gameplay will probably be boring and stupid, but I will love the drawing of blades of grass, leaves, character detailing, and the like.
For Google OS Android, developers are trying to release games with low and medium graphics quality, since the main 'consumers' are budget phone models that do not 'run' powerful applications.
For what reason programmers do not create games with a flexible system of settings, I do not know. Most likely labor intensive.
Guns of boom has quite decent graphics, nice animation and the ability to adjust the frame rate: either 30 FPS or 60 FPS. For a shooter, this is an important parameter.
Of the minuses, it is worth noting the low quality of textures for secondary elements: plates, inscriptions, some interior or exterior items.
I often define a game for myself by the simplicity of the gameplay. If after 10-15 minutes I still have not figured out the menus, meaning or plot of the application, then with a high degree of probability the game goes to the 'basket'.
In Guns of boom, there are no confused game controls, no hundreds of career advancements, no numerous character pumping with vague descriptions: here's your torso protection, and here's your head and legs protection. Each section contains a simple upgrade of a piece of clothing.
The same happens with weapons: in front of you machine guns, shotguns, rifles, machine guns, pistols and knives.
Even a child will understand the types of weapons: a machine gun – for active “hunting”, rifles – for sitting in ambush, shotguns – close combat, machine guns – slow but systematic destruction of the enemy.
Each type has weapon models. They are signed, the properties are indicated on them: this one shoots with incendiary bullets, but this one does maximum damage on a hit to the head, and so on.
I have upgraded a machine gun called 'Anubis': very high accuracy, huge range and large magazine. Minus – slow movement of the character. 'Crutch' – Use of 'Panther' legs.
In the game itself, as a rule, there are two options for events: capturing points and escorting. In the first case, you need to capture certain positions on the map, in the second – either accompany the conditional car, or prevent it from reaching the checkpoint.
From time to time, the developers include temporary game 'rooms': combat only with pistols, only with heavy weapons, and so on.
In short, you understand the essence of the game in just a couple of minutes.
Time is in the game!
Also an extremely important parameter for me is the time spent in the game. As I wrote earlier, there is no problem to allocate 5-15 minutes for entertainment every couple of hours. This means that being in the game should take exactly that long.
Each session in Guns of boom lasts only 5 minutes, and even less in the 'escort' mode.
I started the game, spent one session in it and went on to do business.
I am sure that modern games are built on approximately the same principle, but some of them (RPG, strategy, other genres) can last indefinitely: wait a minute, there is only one farm left, and here you have to put the castle, a couple of seconds – and the soldiers will arrive to the barracks …
Games without brains!
Writing texts is an intellectual work, after which you want to relax without using your brains. Games like Guns of boom help to do this: I went in for 5 minutes and completed the mission: '… we'll catch them in the toilet, we'll soak them in the toilet, in the end'.
Of course, in this game you still have to choose the battle tactics, calculate the enemy's style, buy the optimal weapon in certain combat 'rooms'. However, this is not at all the same as keeping in mind the plan of your army's attack on the enemy and at the same time thinking about the economy in the castle (collecting food, money, people, resources).
Oh, this donat!
Yes, I must say right away that it is very difficult to pump the main character without donation (buying something in the game for real money). However, I've been playing Guns of boom for about a year now.
During this period, the developer did not leave me a ruble, only viewing ads and honestly collecting money in battles.
But what about the $ 100,000 spent on the game? On the one hand, there is a bit of a clickbait headline, and on the other hand, I spent about this much and even more in-game currency to buy gear and guns.
Guns of boom suited me for several reasons:
- Nice graphics at 60 FPS
- Simple gameplay
- Short gaming sessions
- Without brain strain
- You can play without donation
If you play on a smartphone, then indicate toys in the comments and write what they carried you away and enticed! Show off the biggest donation!
