New author's collection of useful and interesting Android – applications.

In this issue: a puzzle for Pantone apologists, a client of a wallpaper catalog site for the resolution of your device, a utility for removing backgrounds from images, a text quest and another attempt to rethink the client for Twitter.

I love hue

A very positive and pacifying puzzle in which the player needs to arrange the colored pieces according to the color scheme, so that a harmonious series is obtained. Simple and fun at the same time, without any pressure in terms of passing.

I Love Hue has several game modes, more than 300 levels are available. Relaxing music emphasizes all the slowness and harmony of the gameplay. The simplicity of the initial levels is quickly replaced by more complex tasks, which, however, are more interesting to solve. No overloaded menus and textures, everything is made in the aesthetics of minimalism, if not for advertising, it would be a sheer joy for the eye.

Quite a universal puzzle, regardless of age and nature of employment. Of course, artists and designers will especially like it. Of the minuses, I will only note that the inability to disable the built-in store for buying in-game currency, I think this parameter is mandatory for modern IAP applications, especially in the context of the recent news about how the child spent $ 6,500 on purchases in iOS – the game.

Wallpapers HD 4K

Android – a client of the Wallpapers Craft resource, which automatically selects images for the resolution of your device. As simple and uncomplicated as possible, for lazy personalization lovers.

For the picky ones, there is a wide list of image categories. In general, we cannot say that the application offers something radically new, the collections are quite ordinary, the design is as austere as possible. But, there are no ads and paid subscriptions, the client performs exactly the tasks that are stated in the description in Play. Plus, the developers are from Russia, which, however, suggests that the latter belong (or lack thereof) to a site of the same name with a .com domain. Advise users of devices with non-standard resolutions.

Background eraser

A useful tool that I use to erase the background from the screenshot images for this column. Not to say that it turns out quickly, but the result is quite satisfactory. I guess about a carriage and a small cart of similar applications, but here, apparently, the duckling syndrome worked and decided to stop at this utility. The removal process is as simple as possible: you need to upload the required image, crop the borders, set anti-aliasing and save a new picture. For those who like photo editing, I recommend evaluating other applications of the developer, among them, for example, there is a tool for overlaying pictures on the desired background.

Ads are rarely displayed, for some reason there is no way to turn them off. Apparently, the developer decided that advertising would bring him more than a subscription. We will not condemn this decision. Recommend Background Eraser to those who have to process photos and images on their Android – device.

Out There Chronicles – Ep. 1

A text quest, the action of which unfolds millions of years before the events of the one I have already mentioned in one of the reviews of the space arcade. Fans of the arcade will find answers to some questions, however, not all – this is only the first episode.

According to the plot of the game, an apocalypse occurred on Earth and the people who survived on several ships were forced to look for other planets. The player's character wakes up from millions of years of cryogenic sleep and finds himself in a utopian society on an unknown planet. Everyone around is maximally interested in studying the hero and showing their friendliness. But is it that simple?

This is to be learned in the course of the game. Unfortunately, the developers did not bother with the translation of the game into Russian, at the moment Out There Chronicles is available in English and French. I wrote to the developers with a proposal to translate the game, I'm waiting for an answer. Otherwise, I did not notice any shortcomings, the drawing is at the level, as well as the musical accompaniment. Advise fans of text quests and those who want to tighten up English / French.

Tucano for Twitter

'Shaw, again?', – the witty reader will comment. Yes, another client for Twitter with a 'bird' name, this time from Brazil. Underneath is a surprisingly neat and quite tolerable way to view and update the feed Twitter. The application is made in accordance with the Material Design concept, the developers put special emphasis on additional functional features (convenient tabs, separate columns, the ability to track the activity of an account, etc.), as well as the ability to customize the colors of interface elements (there is also a choice between dark and light theme).

On first impressions, the client turned out to be very flexible in customization, you just need to understand all the functions. Tucano supports multiple accounts, 'is able' to save draft tweets and insert up to four images, animations and videos into them. For a beginner, it's very solid, a plus for developers. Advise those who are tired of their Twitter client.
