A new author's collection of good applications from Google Play and not only.

In this release: a beautiful way to know the weather, a 'light' client for a controversial messenger, playing with shadows, a Chinese market in one application, and a set of icons in the style MIUI.

Recently, I have been installing something new in my smartphone less and less, nevertheless, sometimes curious things come across. For example, recently there was a promotion for the distribution of previously paid icon sets, among which there were quite pleasant outwardly solutions. Within the framework of one of these distributions, the first application in today's collection was found.

Weather Live
(Apalon Apps)

Before us is a beautiful client that displays all the necessary weather data in a specific place at the current time. Flexible configuration allows you to vary the displayed data and their order, the appearance of the main screen, you can use the device's sensors to measure pressure, there is a night mode.

There are a dozen widgets, beautiful weather animation, by clicking on the round icon in the upper left part of the screen, a precipitation map for the next hours is displayed. Of course, the app didn't become my favorite in terms of visual performance, but I still liked the number of settings and detailed weather data. At the time of the promotion, the application was distributed free of charge, now the subscription costs very little, while it removes ads and opens full access to the settings.

Skype Lite

The lite version of the messenger and VOIP client from Microsoft, pleasantly surprised by its 'sanity' and convenience, was released in the second half of February for the Indian market. But we are not the type to be stopped by regional bans. Request, two or three transitions in the browser to a reliable site – and the .apk file is already downloaded to the smartphone. It remains to complete the installation and provide the necessary permissions. What do we get?

Skype Lite is a surprisingly laconic ad-free client with the necessary set of settings, as well as one nice bonus: the option to set the application as the default SMS client. Of course, not everyone wants to trust such information Microsoft and resist it, busily adjusting the foil hat, but the idea is quite viable, why not make the application a full-fledged application for communication via cellular networks and the service itself? The interface Skype Lite is extremely simple and intuitive. Here are messages and calls, a separate tab offers a list of English-speaking bots, just for fun.

Shadowmatic

One day, thematic resources vied with each other to offer to evaluate this puzzle, giving rather flattering reviews. Even before downloading the game, by looking at the screenshots, I realized that I had met a similar concept as a game element in the The Room series ( new part at the end of the year!) , thereby, interest was greatly fueled. Well, it turned out very well: the player will have to control the figure (later two and three) in order for the cast shadow to form a picture. And initially it is not known what kind of figure should turn out.

An entertaining pastime is guaranteed, spatial thinking works. It's a pity that there are so few levels in the free version of the program, it was enough for literally half an hour. Well, paid subscription is just around the corner. I will separately note the sound design.

There is no age limit, so I think Shadowmatic might appeal to kids who love puzzle games. And adults will be interested, 'infa 100%'.

Geek

It all started with the fact that for some reason the strap of my Mi Band got unstuck and stopped holding the capsule securely. I started looking for options for ordering an inexpensive strap, as a result of which the Wish application was found, which was then changed to a narrower version – Geek. In fact, we are facing a client for ordering all sorts of things from China. Link a card, indicate the address and contact information and you can order.

The price range of goods starts from 60 rubles, it is quite possible to purchase some sort of necessary little things, for example, a holder for picks or a wristband. Not to say that I am a fan of such services, but Geek sometimes offers well, very bargain prices, so the risk is not scary. The same tracker strap cost 170 rubles with delivery. Small envelopes are thrown directly into the mailbox, conveniently, there is no need to go to the post office. But there were some drawbacks. The lottery is the delivery time, which, depending on the seller, can vary from ten days to a couple of months. Are you ready to wait? Geek (as well as a set of other themed store apps from the developer) to help. Caution, may be addictive.

Krix UI

Returning to the distribution of icons mentioned in the article. Among them were nice Krix UI icons from a Turkish developer. Based on the description on the Google Play page, the designer's goal was to convey the aesthetic of the interface MIUI.

It turned out, in my opinion, quite tolerably, icons are inscribed in one size, which is important for some personalization lovers. In addition to almost 3500 icons, the application has the ability to download from the “cloud” and install more than 70 “wallpapers” with 2K-resolution, there is support for Muzei. An interesting point is the way the developer monetizes his products: the application has an option for a premium request for missing icons. That is, the user pays the selected amount for the fact that the developer renders the selected icons, which for some reason are absent in the set, but necessary for the user. Everything seems to be fair. The output is approximately the following interface (the widget is not included in the Krix UI).

It's a pity that the sale of icons has already ended, now icons are distributed on a paid basis, albeit a small amount. Advise to style lovers MIUI.
